RING THE BELL FOR GENDER EQUALITY 2026
The theme is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL women and girls”.
The World Federation of Exchanges supports the global Ring the Bell for Gender Equality initiative marking International Women’s Day on 8 March 2026. Each year, exchanges and central counterparty clearing houses (CCPs) around the world host bell-ringing ceremonies and related events to highlight the importance of gender equality and the benefits of diverse and inclusive workplaces across capital markets.
Organised in partnership with UN Women, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative, the UN Global Compact and the International Finance Corporation, the initiative brings together more than 110 exchanges and CCPs globally to mark the occasion and recognise the role market infrastructures play in supporting inclusive economic participation.

The Namibia Securities Exchange (NSX) celebrated the global “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” in partnership with the CFA Society South Africa.
Under the theme: “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” the movement has turned global with 114 organisations participating.
The initiative is promoted by the UN Global Compact, World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Initiative, International Finance Corporation (IFC), and UN Women.
