The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has created the Steel Sector under the Industrials Industry Group to reflect the importance of listed companies in the steel business and benefit research and investment decision-making. The SET will move 27 listed companies to this new Sector, starting on January 4, 2011.

The ISE is to require Irish listed companies to comply or explain against the provisions of the UK Corporate Governance Code. KRX releases three new indices from October 1, 2010; KRX SRI Eco, KOSPI 200 Covered Call (C-KOSPI 200) and KOSPI 200 Protective Put (P-KOSPI 200). Also, KRX changes the name of KOSPI 200 Volatility Index from 'VKOSPI' to 'V-KOSPI 200'.
The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) has introduced a Swiss Franc currency derivative contract to its existing portfolio of currency derivative contracts. The addition gives South African investors exposure to this European currency.
Prof. Linda de Beer has been appointed chairman of the Consultative Advisory Group (CAG) to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB). The IAASB CAG is an independent body and provides the forum in which the representatives of its various member organizations—including regulators, preparers, and others with an interest in international auditing and assurance—provide advice on technical and public interest matters relating to the drafts of IAASB standards and strategy. The IAASB is an independent standard-setting board that establishes in the public interest International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and other pronouncements for use by professional accountants around the world.
