The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that it has begun disseminating calculations on two new volatility benchmark indexes based on options on futures contracts presently listed on CME Group exchanges. The CBOE/NYMEX WTI Volatility Index (ticker symbol OIV) and the CBOE/COMEX Gold Volatility Index (ticker symbol GVX) are the first in a series of new volatility benchmark indexes to be created as a result of the licensing agreement between CBOE and CME that was first announced in March 2010 (www.cboe.com/AboutCBOE/PressReleases.aspx).

Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad (BMD), a subsidiary of Bursa Malaysia Berhad, announced that it will migrate the trading of its derivatives products, comprising commodity, financial and equity futures, onto CME Group's electronic trading platform, CME Globex®. The crossover from the current derivatives trading platform to the CME Globex® platform is scheduled for 20 September 2010, subject to a successful pre-implementation test that will be held on 18 September 2010.
Singapore Exchange (SGX) said it will quote American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) of 19 major Asian companies on its new GlobalQuote board from 22 October 2010.
BM&FBOVESPA will implement as of September 27 a new +/- 15% limit on price fluctuations in shares, ETFs and other assets traded on the spot market. Named the intraday limit, the new tool will establish minimums and maximums, based on a reference price for each asset.
