Committee of SADC Stock Exchanges (COSSE) to meet in Cape Town

The Committee of SADC Stock Exchanges (COSSE) will hold their annual general meeting in Cape Town, South Africa, from 10 to 13 February 2010. SADC stands for Southern African Development Community and CoSSE membership is open to all SADC member countries including Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The main themes of this year’s meeting are regional integration, greater alignment of listing requirements and SADC Exchanges technical interconnectivity project. The SADC Exchanges Interconnectivity Project aims to achieve a real time network of SADC exchanges through the implementation of a Hub and Spoke exchange interconnectivity model. This external hub should allow exchanges to connect to each other's trading platforms and ultimately allow investors to ability to trade on all SADC exchanges through their local brokerage.

COSSE has been meeting since 1996.
