Cayman Islands Stock Exchange Uses Xetra For Trading Securities
Today the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange (CSX) migrated its electronic securities trading to Deutsche Börse’s Xetra trading system. Xetra trading participants can now use Deutsche Börse’s infrastructure to easily access a non-European financial market. It also gives six new market participants from the Cayman Islands access to an extensive pan-European network of traders.
Alexander Höptner; Executive Vice President of Deutsche Börse and responsible for Market Data and Services IT, said: “The Cayman Islands Stock Exchange now has one of the fastest and most reliable cash market trading systems. It connects participants in Cayman Islands to one of the biggest exchange networks in the world including the widest range of products in Europe and highly liquid trading.”
Xetra technology is also used by other stock exchanges like the Vienna Stock Exchange, Irish Stock Exchange, Bulgarian Stock Exchange, Ljubljana Stock Exchange, Malta Stock Exchange and Prague Stock Exchange. Xetra was moreover the basis for the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s own trading system migrated in 2008.
