08/10/2013

Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) signed an agreement for comprehensive co-operation with Korea Exchange (KRX). The agreement, signed by Deputy Chief Executive of ADX, Mr. Ghanem Al Dhaheri, in a formal ceremony in Seoul provides the framework for ADX and KRX to work together on a number of joint ventures to enhance and develop the infrastructure and processes of ADX.

The agreement sets the groundwork for mutual cooperation and communication to enhance the efforts of both ADX and KRX to develop and foster the growth of sound securities markets that are fair to all investors. The agreement comes after both parties formalized their working relationship through an MOU signed in Abu Dhabi in January 2013.

Mr. Rashed Al Baloushi CEO of ADX commented on the agreement saying “ADX is continuously working to improve the quality of its products to better serve its stakeholders needs. We are happy to have signed the cooperation agreement with KRX, their wealth of experience and technical expertise will contribute to further quality improvements of ADX services.”

“We are keen to promote Abu Dhabi and attract increased foreign investment by facilitating the necessary services and through creating an opportunity for our stakeholders to share in the potential benefits that arise from our international partnerships.”
