Hong Kong Exchanges and Singapore Exchange cooperate on Chinese currency internationalization

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing and Singapore Exchange agreed to cooperate in several areas of common interest, which include promoting the internationalization of the Renminbi by exploring joint product development, enhancing connectivity through points of presence in each other’s data centers, collaborating on technology development and regulatory issues.

Multi Commodity Exchange and Dalian Commodity Exchange sign MoU

The Multi Commodity Exchange of India and the Dalian Commodity Exchange have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to boost strategic cooperation. The agreement is designed to facilitate potential collaboration in areas such as knowledge sharing, research and price risk management. The move will also foster the development of communication channels for the sharing of information between the two exchanges.

Muscat Securities Market and Stock Exchange of Tehran sign MoU

The Muscat Securities Market and the Tehran Stock Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Both Exchanges aim to boost their cooperation on information and statistics issues, education, Islamic products, and will try to make linkages to facilitate both sides investors’ access to the markets.

Saudi Stock Exchange and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange sign MoU

The Saudi Stock Exchange -Tadawul and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will serve to strengthen the already robust bilateral relationship between the two exchanges. The two parties have formally agreed to enhance information and knowledge sharing with the aim of furthering communication, mutual understanding and cooperation. In addition, it was agreed to set up an exchange program for employees of both bourses, and explore opportunities for technology and market data sharing, cross-listings, as well as collaboration on market development initiatives.

Saudi Stock Exchange and Bahrain Bourse sign MoU

The Saudi Stock Exchange - Tadawul and the Bahrain Bourse entered into a Memorandum of Understanding which will serve to deepen and enhance the existing cooperation between the two stock exchanges. The MoU enables the two parties to share knowledge and expertise, open the door for people development, and explore future opportunities related to capital market development and policy alignment initiatives.

Taiwan Futures Exchange and Eurex announce launch date of joint product

The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) and Eurex Exchange have announced their plan to launch the Eurex/TAIFEX link on 15 May 2014. With this link, Eurex Exchange will list TAIEX futures and options as daily expiring futures on Eurex Exchange. Derivatives on the TAIEX index are one of the most heavily traded Asian equity index contracts.
