Bermuda Stock Exchange launches new trading system

The Bermuda Stock Exchange has launched NASDAQ OMX’s X-stream trading platform, strengthening BSX’s dedication to the development of Bermuda’s domestic market and fueling capital to the country’s small and medium businesses. BSX and its members will benefit from significant enhancements in performance, latency and throughput capacity.

BM&FBOVESPA launches market surveillance system

BM&FBOVESPA and BM&FBOVESPA Market Supervision have announced the official go-live of NASDAQ OMX’s SMARTS Integrity market surveillance platform across Brazil’s equities, commodities and futures. All instruments will be monitored by the new system. BM&FBOVESPA and BM&FBOVESPA Market Supervision are now equipped with an automated solution which strengthens their current surveillance capabilities.

NASDAQ OMX Commodities to upgrade and enhance its trading system

NASDAQ OMX Commodities will upgrade its Genium INET system to a new version during the weekend 8-9 June 2013. Thereafter, subject to successful testing and regulatory approval, the following enhancements will be activated for members according to a detailed time plan: launch of European price area contracts; launch of a suite of monthly, quarterly and yearly Contracts for Difference (CfD); and launch of a pre-trade risk management solution.

NYSE Technologies launches consolidated feed for market data

NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology division of NYSE Euronext, today announced the launch of NYSE BQT (Best Quote & Trades), a consolidated XDP feed that provides a real-time, unified view of Level 1 market data, including Best Bid/Offer and Last Sale information for the NYSE, NYSE Arca, and NYSE MKT exchanges including NASDAQ issues traded on NYSE Arca and NYSE MKT. NYSE BQT is a more flexible and affordable alternative to the range of expensive Level 1 market data offerings currently available.

TMX Group to launch enhanced trading system

TMX Group plans to launch its next generation equity trading technology, TMX Quantum XA. It will be based on hardware acceleration technology and designed to provide TMX Group equity trading customers with dramatically enhanced speed and capacity as well as more efficient order processing. Testing in the production environment achieved a twenty-fold reduction in median latency to sub-100 microseconds on order executions. TMX Select will be the first TMX equity marketplace to migrate to TMX Quantum XA. Symbols on TMX Select will be migrated onto TMX Quantum XA over three phases commencing 29 July 2013. The migration of Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange and Alpha onto TMX Quantum XA is scheduled to begin mid-2014.

TMX Group’ system integrates Alpha trading platform

TMX Group announced the successful migration of Alpha to TMX Group’s proprietary trading engine, TMX Quantum. As part of TMX Group’s overall integration plan, Alpha now operates on the same platform as Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange and TMX Select.
