Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange launches new trading platform

On 12 March 2013, the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange launched its new trading platform, the EOS Trader Platform, in partnership with Cinnober. It will provide DGCX’s member community with higher transaction speeds, more efficient means to access liquidity, better reliability, enhanced trading flexibility and global connectivity. The upgrade will provide low latency network access, world-class risk-management, surveillance and clearing capabilities. It will also give the Exchange the ability to offer contracts in multiple currencies including UAE dirhams and 24-hour market support.

Eurex Group and Bombay Stock Exchange sign technology agreement

Eurex Group and the Bombay Stock Exchange have agreed to deepen their strategic partnership through a long term technology alliance under which BSE will join the Eurex technology roadmap and deploy Deutsche Börse Group’s trading architecture in a first step. BSE aims to replace its derivatives market platform in the course of 2013 and plans to subsequently replace also its cash market platform later on. This partnership will allow BSE to quickly achieve the highest global standards for speed, reliability and order-handling capacity. By aligning BSE, Eurex Exchange and ISE markets on a common trading infrastructure, IT costs for shared customers will be significantly reduced. This will also reduce technology development and installation efforts for Eurex and ISE members who wish to connect to BSE and vice versa as well as strengthen the case for cross-listing.

Korea Exchange to provide Philippines SEC with new market surveillance system

On 26 February 2013, the Korea Exchange and the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission signed a contract to export KRX’s market surveillance system to the Philippine markets. This project includes the bond market surveillance system operated by the Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corporation in addition to the stock market.

NASDAQ OMX delivers market surveillance system to Philippine Dealing and Exchange Corporation

The NASDAQ OMX Group and the Philippine Dealing and Exchange Corporation announced that PDEx has selected NASDAQ OMX’s SMARTSOnline market surveillance system to monitor market activity across the fixed-income market in the Philippines.

NYSE Technologies to open         co-location facility at Japan Exchange

NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology division of NYSE Euronext, further expanded its connectivity services in Japan via the Japan Exchange’s co-location facility. The service will be available from May 2013 and consequently, NYSE Technologies will cover the widest range of Japanese connectivity solutions.
