BME to create a Public Debt market in Algeria

The consortium formed by BME and AFI, a Spanish firm specialized in niche consulting, has been awarded a contract by the Algerian government to create an electronic Public Debt platform. The contract entails the training of the personnel who will be in charge of the functioning and maintenance of the platform.

Egyptian Exchange signs license agreement with NYSE.Liffe to list EGX 30 index futures

The Egyptian Exchange has signed a license agreement with NYSE.Liffe to list EGX 30 index futures contracts on NYSE.Liffe in London. This agreement will enable NYSE.Liffe to work with market participants to develop and launch a futures contract based on the EGX 30 index.

Japan Exchange Group and ‹MKB sign MoU

On 10 January 2013, the Japan Exchange Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ‹MKB to facilitate cross-listing of ETFs and explore ways to further strengthen their cooperative relationship.

Japan Exchange Group and National Stock Exchange of India sign agreement on launch of S&P CNX Nifty Futures in Japan

The Japan Exchange Group and the National Stock Exchange of India signed a letter of intent on 10 January 2013 for preparing the launch of S&P CNX Nifty index futures on the Osaka Securities Exchange, a subsidiary of JPX. Both parties will make preparations for the listing of yen-denominated S&P CNX Nifty Index futures by March 2014, the integration date of the derivatives markets of OSE and Tokyo Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of JPX.

Korea Exchange and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange sign MoU

On 10 January 2013, the Korea Exchange and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding whose aim is to develop communication channels for the sharing of information between both exchanges. The MoU states that further cooperation will cover aspects such as structuring of listed products, corporate governance, exchange of staff, and research projects.

Stock Exchange of Thailand and Lao Securities Exchange extend MoU

The Stock Exchange of Thailand and Lao Securities Exchange agree to extend their Memorandum of Understanding covering operational enhancement and development for the Laotian exchange. Among others, it encompasses human resource training, market surveillance, and promoting business opportunities between the two exchanges.

Stock Exchange of Thailand signs MoU with Central Bank of Myanmar

The Stock Exchange of Thailand recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Bank of Myanmar to assist in setting up a stock exchange in Myanmar and to promote capital market business opportunities.
