Amman Stock Exchange and Cyprus Stock Exchange sign MoU

On 6 September 2012, the Amman Stock Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cyprus Stock Exchange to enhance mutual cooperation. The MoU includes providing and exchanging consultative services and know-how regarding listing, trading issues and introducing new financial products, as well as developing knowledge regarding the composition of the indices and work on the preparation of a joint index in the future.

İMKB and Singapore Exchange sign MoU

İstanbul Menkul K›ymetler Borsas› (İMKB) and Singapore Exchange entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to foster mutual cooperation towards the development of both exchanges and their respective markets, in particular in promoting investment opportunities as well as sharing of knowledge, information and best practices.

İMKB and Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent” sign MoU

İMKB signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republican Stock Exchange “Toshkent”, the securities exchange of Uzbekistan. The MoU aims at encouraging mutual cooperation between the exchanges, and will enable them to explore opportunities for information sharing, exchange and training of employees, as well as to consider organizing joint events.

Singapore Exchange deepens ties with China Shandong Province

The Singapore Exchange has further enhanced its ties with China by entering into a listing Memorandum of Understanding with the Shandong Finance Office. Under the MoU, SGX and the Shandong Finance Office will cooperate to develop communication channels and foster continued ties in areas including information exchange and the listing of more Shandong companies on SGX.

Stock Exchange of Thailand agrees Korea Exchange to develop clearing system

On 31 August 2012, the Stock Exchange of Thailand signed an agreement with Korea Exchange to develop a clearing and settlement system for equities, derivatives, and fixed-income products traded on SET and Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX). The clearing system for derivatives market will be rolled out first in the fourth quarter of 2013, followed by that for securities and fixed-income products in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Warsaw Stock Exchange signs cooperation agreement to develop Poland’s electricity market

On 27 August 2012, the Warsaw Stock Exchange, PSE Operator and the Polish Power Exchange signed a cooperation agreement concerning the development of Poland’s wholesale electricity market and joint international initiatives aimed at integrating the Polish electricity market within the European electricity market.
