BM&FBOVESPA lists ETF on carbon index
BM&FBOVESPA introduced to trading a new ETF based on the Carbon Efficient Index (ICO2) which tracks the performance of the shares of companies participating in the IBrX-50 index and that adopt transparent practices with respect to their greenhouse gas emissions.
CBOE to trade SPX variance strips
The Chicago Board Options Exchange plans to introduce, starting 27 July 2012, a process for trading SPX Variance Strips, a portfolio of S&P 500 index options intended to replicate S&P 500 implied variance exposure in a single transaction. Trading, fully electronic, is aimed at qualified professional investors. Immediately after a trade is executed, it will be broken up into individual transactions in several SPX options series. Prices will be quoted in volatility points.
Eurex introduces European index derivatives products
Eurex is expanding its offering to include futures and options on the EURO STOXX 50 ex Financials Index, calculated since October 2011 by the global index provider STOXX. The new contracts started to trade on 9 July 2012.
Oslo Børs lists bond loans
Oslo Børs listed two bond loans that are intended for Swedish investors and are registered with Euroclear Sweden. This is the first time that Oslo Børs has listed bond loans that are registered with a foreign central securities depository.
Stock Exchange of Thailand lists ETF on Hang Seng index
On 19 June 2012, the Stock Exchange of Thailand listed an ETF managed by Krung Thai Asset Management based on the Hang Seng index.
