Eurex to introduce new trading system
Eurex plans to launch a completely new trading system. Subject to the required legal approvals, first roll-out is currently scheduled for December 2012, followed by a migration phase where products will be moved in a stepwise approach from the current to the new trading system. It will be developed internally and based on Deutsche Börse Group’s proprietary global trading architecture which is already in use at the International Securities Exchange.
NASDAQ OMX Commodities Genium INET to go live
On 5 March 2012, NASDAQ OMX Commodities will launch its new trading system, Genium INET. This system is already widely used within the Group, and now the NASDAQ OMX’s derivatives exchanges are making the same transition. It offers ultra-low and predictable latency as well as high volume capacity, greater than 1,200,000 quotes/second or 250,000 orders/second.
NASDAQ OMX data center expands power and connectivity offerings
The NASDAQ OMX Group announced two new access services offerings, Super Cab and 40G Client Connectivity, which provide NASDAQ OMX Data Center customers with the highest power, fastest access and highest bandwidth available in an exchange’s co-location facility. The launch of Super Cab is effective immediately and 40G Client Connectivity will be launched subject to filing with the Securities Exchange Commission.
