FEAS launches blue chip index
The Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS), in cooperation with Dow Jones Indexes, launched the first blue-chip index derived from Euro-Asian stock exchanges, the Dow Jones FEAS Titans 50 Equal Weighted Index. The new index includes the 50 largest stocks traded on FEAS-member exchanges. It is designed to serve as the basis for financial products such as funds and structured products.
Mexican Stock Exchange launches third sustainability index
The Mexican Stock Exchange has recently launched its new sustainability index. It includes 23 companies which are assessed based on their performance, impact, and responses to ESG issues. They include climate change, human rights, reporting, policies and systems to counter bribery.
Shanghai Stock Exchange launches a series of new indices
On 9 January 2012, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, in cooperation with China Securities Index, launched the SSE Fundamental Weighted Index family and the SSE Volatility Weighted Indices. On 10 January 2012, the Exchange launched the SSE 300 index, the SSE 100 index and the SSE 100 Equal Weight index to further enhance the SSE index family as well as to provide new analysis tools and underlying instruments for investors.
