BME joins United Nations’ Global Compact
BME, the Spanish Exchanges, has joined United Nations’ Global Compact and become a partner of the Spanish Network in the large public company category. The UN Global Compact is an international initiative in the area of Social and Corporate Responsibility for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten basic principles of conduct in the human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption areas. The Global Compact network (http://www.unglobalcompact.org/) comprises over 8,000 corporate participants from 130 countries worldwide.
Antonio Zoido to serve as Trustee of the IFRS Foundation
The IFRS Foundation Monitoring Board approved the appointment of Antonio Zoido, Chairman and CEO of BME Spanish Exchanges, as a Trustee of the IFRS Foundation. His initial term begins immediately and will expire on 31 December 2013. The term is renewable once.
