Deutsche Börse selects Telehouse as new access point provider in London
Deutsche Börse signed an agreement with Telehouse, a provider of global data centers and managed ICT services. The agreement foresees the use of Telehouse’s data center as a low latency access point in London for Eurex and Xetra members. The launch is aimed for spring 2011.

Johannesburg Stock Exchange plans to move to new trading platform
The Johannesburg Stock Exchange has concluded a licensing agreement with technology solutions provider MillenniumIT to move its equity market trading activity onto Millennium Exchange. The migration is planned for the first half of 2012. It is expected that JSE members will benefit from executing transactions almost 400 times faster than the present trading solution. The agreement will also see the JSE’s trading system relocated from London to Johannesburg, enhancing operational efficiencies and ensuring trading optimization for market participants.

London Stock Exchange’s cash markets move to new trading system
On 14 February 2011, the London Stock Exchange’s UK cash markets have migrated to a new ultra low-latency trading platform, Millennium Exchange. Developed by London Stock Exchange Group’s leading trading technology business MillenniumIT, Millennium Exchange is a highly scalable, multi-asset class trading platform, offering the Exchange’s clients superior technical performance, ultra low-latency and enhanced functionality.

NASDAQ OMX launches Genium INET web trade
The NASDAQ OMX Group launched Genium INET Web Trade, a new web based trading application, providing members and customers with a user friendly and quickly implemented trading application. The first of NASDAQ OMX’s markets to offer Genium INET Web Trade is NASDAQ OMX Commodities Europe, the power and carbon derivatives exchange. The system features pre-trade limit functionality which gives general clearing members and direct members a tool box for managing traders’ market exposure. The application comes with a sophisticated administration tool which allows members to define trading accounts, trader rights and pre-trade limits.

TMX Group plans to launch new trading system TMX Select
TMX Group plans to launch TMX Select, Canada’s newest equities alternative trading system. The new system is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TMX Group that will offer a visible marketplace for trading equity securities.
